* Note - This Journal is Kara's Final one. It has much more narrative than previous journals. Also the screenies are marked with "**" if they add a lot to the story. Some of the other screenies are included for those that like to look at lots of pictures and, of course, they also relate to the story line though may be considered superfluous if you look at the "**" screenies.

Kara's Swan Song (Part 3 of 5)

Chapter 3: Training Sis and A Letter From Asmodeus!

We get some sleep, and in the morning it becomes obvious that Sis knows nothing about defending herself. (She is quite the little expert at hiding though!)

** But Sis is very eager to be trained.**    [DialUp #22]

You look great in one of my favorite outfits and your new hair style, but we need to get you your own custom-fitted clothes.    [DialUp #23]

Sis' confidence is growing - sometimes borderline delusional! (Just kidding Sis!):
** Here is Sis saying: I just caught this fly and with one lightening swing of my blade I will cut it exactly in half - unless these clothes fall off me first! Kara, I need a smaller outfit!!    [DialUp #24]

An unplanned real life test!
** Oops! Still not ready for prime time, but fortunately she is only knocked out. (I soon thereafter hastily expedite the attacker to what WAS his future life.) **    [DialUp #25]

Sis: This sunlight is getting to my face - I can feel it becoming mellow yellow the longer I stay out here!
Kara: Well, this package arrived for you today. I haven't opened it, but it is... Oh wait. Hmmm, I see! OK, shut your eyes - this will surprise you!
Sis: Really? I don't know...
Kara: Well it will certainly take care of the sun problem during the day! But it is up to you. Ok open your eyes!

** Sis yells: Oh my God! What is this? It is huge! I can't hold my head up - it is breaking my neck! **    [DialUp #26]

Take it off! Take it off! What horrible person would send me this??? Oh.... I think I know... that that Asmodeus!!!!!!!!!!!!    [DialUp #27]

Kara finally gets the helm off, though it was so heavy, it took a while. Sis' neck did not suffer any permanent damage mainly because her neck muscles were quite accustomed to her head hanging down most of the time anyway.

Sis: I am going to get him for this! I am not running off crying any more! I am going to get him back!

Sis yells louder: First I am going to totally fill this helm up with that bear's droppings and send it right back!
Kara: I really think his intentions are honorable, Sis... Ahhh, he even included a card. Read it out loud!
Sis reads Asmodeus' card out loud:

"Dear Orange Girl:

This should help you. No one can see your face in it and the sun won't be able to make you more of a BUTTERFACE than you already are. I don't wear this helm any more as it does not go with my new black armor. So you can keep it. It can also be very handy for holding things - one time most of my guts were hanging out from a full frontal attack by 16 or 20 mortals (who's counting anyway!); but I was able to save my guts inside this very helm until I could find time to push them back inside me. I think I got the right ones re-inserted, but it was really pretty mixed up there at the end - especially after taking all the mortals out in the same narrow passageway. So that is another really good use for this helm and I am sure you will find many others.

If you would like more, I can send you an autographed copy of my handbook "Advanced Tips for Getting the Utmost Out of Your Daedric Helm". I wrote this for our troops, but alas, most of them never make it past the Dummies version. So as you must know by now, this helm is very special to me - but I think you have more use for it now than I, and I am sure you will honor its long and decorated legacy. Well, enjoy.

Yours truly,

Asmodeus.

P.S. My regards to your sister. I still do not know why she got angry with me.

P.P.S. The above-mentioned handbook has a companion for helping you perfect your blade skills. It is called "Bleeding Edge Techniques to Become the Killing Machine You Always Aspired To Be: The Blade Series." Maybe your sister would like a copy of this? It also has full color glossy pictures of yours truly in action. You already saw my vacation photos - well, wait until you see my action shots! You will never part with that helm once you see how helpful it is!

P.P.P.S. I really should have started another letter, but you just don't know at the time that this isn't your last P.S. Anyway, I am currently working on a Blunt Series too - but my recommendation for you, Orange Girl, is the Blade. I do hope this Blunt publication will enable me to retire someday while I still have most of my body parts intact.

P.P.P.P.S. Ok, this is getting ridiculous, but could you ask your sister if she likes my tatoos? I have a lot more elsewhere if she does. By the way, how old are you, Orange Girl? I am thinking that if your sister is still angry with me, I could come over and see you. What is your availability? Personally, the fact that your "Butter Face would scare small children and large dogs away" (as I so succinctly described you above), does not deter me in the least. That can come in handy, especially if we go into battle together. And to be completely honest, I WAS holding back. I think you could scare off a lot more than children and dogs. I know when I show up pretty much everyone runs away. But, alas, I think you may be too young to consider my proposition - though it is hard for me to tell your age because of the orange glare coming off your face.

P.P.P.P.P.S. Now that is my personal all time record for a PS. In fact this letter is - I have never written a letter in my life other than the one to your sister the other day! I usually kill and then ask if they want to be pen-pals. They never do. Anyway, tell your sister... oh nevermind. I promise if I have any more PS's I will start a new letter.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Just kidding! Hehehe. A little Dremorian humor there. Oh yeah, one last thing, I go into this in detail in my Helm Handbook, but Land Dreugh Wax combined with Will-o-The-Wisp Glow Dust goo and Troll Fat rubbed sparingly onto the helm really will make it look brand-new. So always carry some with you to look your finest. And if you get really hungry, that mix is not bad, especially if you add a pinch of Flame Atronach fire salt. Then it can be downright delicious. Take care Orange Girl. I look forward to seeing you in action in broad daylight with your new helm!

Kara is quite touched re-reading the multitude of postscripts several times; but Sis, uhh, she went to gather some bear dung and postage. Kara talks her out of any further attempts at retaliation by saying they needed to continue their training, especially if she really wanted to take on Asmodeus.

Kara also notes in her Journal: Wonderful sign that Sis did not just withdraw and run away when she felt hurt by Asmodeus' gift. Instead she is hanging in there - and though I think she may be over-reacting in this instance, I am so happy she is willing to stick up for herself. Thank God I just caught the delivery man leaving with Sis' return parcel to Asmodeus. Phewwww!!! And I am really excited by his P.S. I wonder if I should write back?
